Talking Traffic

Bill Ruhsam is officially William M. Ruhsam, Jr. PE, PTOE.  He is a registered Professional Engineer in Georgia and Texas, USA.  He is also a registered Professional Traffic Operations Engineer.  He currently is employed by Greenhorne & O’Mara, Inc. who has no association with this site.  His professional focus areas are traffic operations, traffic impact studies, and highway design. 

Bill previously worked in the Traffic Office of the Texas Department of Transportation in the Lubbock District, where he was indoctrinated in the holy game of Forty-Two.  He graduated in 1997 from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI! Let’s Go Red!) with a degree in mechanical engineering and was converted to a traffic engineer by following his wife to Texas.  He currently lives in Marietta, Georgia with his wife and their cat.
